At least one man was beheaded in an attack on Muambula village in Muidumbe district.

27 August 22: Ntamba Lagoa, Nangade
Security forces reportedly shot an innocent woman following an attack on the village of Ntamba Lagoa and the nearby villages of Miungu 1 and 2, believing her to be an insurgent. She is said to have survived and was taken to police district headquarters for treatment. No further details are known about the attack.

29 August 22: Nacuale, Ancuabe
Insurgents attacked Nacuale village, 10km from Ancuabe district headquarters on Monday, reportedly looting and destroying several houses. Sources suggest up to 76 houses may have been burned.
