The leader of a mosque in the town of Chiúre in southern Cabo Delgado was released on Monday, after spending the weekend apparently as a captive of Mozambique’s armed forces

12 October 22: Ntoli, Nangade
Insurgents attacked the village of Ntoli in Nangade district for the second time in two days. Homes were burned but residents of the village had evacuated the previous day. Photos have also emerged which show the health centre having sustained extensive fire damage
