2 September 22: Siripa, Chiure
Insurgents attacked and burned the village of Siripa in Chiure district, just 6km from the Lúrio river which divides the provinces of Cabo Delgado and Nampula. Casualties are not yet known, but a helicopter was reported flying in the village’s direction.
