Ambassador reshuffle continues
President Nyusi has continued his reshuffle of ambassadors, appointing Jacinto Januário Maguni as ambassador to Brazil, replacing Gamiliel Sepúlveda João Munguambe

8 October 22: Nguida, Macomia
Insurgents attacked the village of Nguida in Macomia district on the afternoon of Saturday 8 October, burning at least 13 houses. Residents fled following the attack but as of Sunday, some were returning to the village.

The village of Namitugo, in the area of Chicomo, Macomia, was attacked by insurgents. No further details have yet been reported.
