• Today: Inauguration of the new airport at Chongoene, Gaza province — the ‘Aeroporto Filipe Jacinto Nyusi’. President Filipe Nyusi will attend and Mozambique Airlines, LAM, will make an inaugural flight
  The inauguration and the utility of this new airport is being widely mocked, despite having been built with a Chinese donation. This airport will likely endure the same fate as that at Nacala, ending up as another white elephant.
